Summer FAIL and lots of stuff coming up!

Ok, first of all, sorry for the massive summer fail of not having any group hanging out time. I was ill, and I appologise for that. But for those of you that managed to have fun this summer and helped out at Pill Carnival too, congratulations to ya! And a big thank you of course.

Now on to business: It's half term this week coming, so no circus at the Riverfront.

There are lots of things coming up that I wish to mention:

1. The Newport Christmas turning on of lights parade thing. That's on the 26th of November (Thursday). We may be helping out Andy with the giants again, but hopefully we will be walking along juggling and stuff as our own group. That's if we get enough takers and if we can get some sort of costume/theme sorted. Any ideas are welcome, and Andy has offered us help with things if we want it, but we need idea's first. Simple stuff would probably be best.

2. On the 15th November (Sunday) there is a 5 for Life/Open Day event at the new Bettws school and leisure centre place. Walkaround people would be required, so if you can do something and want to help, let me know.

3. Yarrow has asked if anyone would be interested in doing some performance/walkaround for her radio station day of fun and mental-ness. Again, let me know if you're interested in that one. I can't remember dates cos I'm a potato.

4. Stephen asked if we were doing anything for Children in Need, which is on the 20th of Novemember, but fund raisingwill take place before that. I'm going to try and sort it so we can "shake a bucket" in town while we juggle/stilt walk/whatever. So if anyone wants to come along for that, feel free. I'll get back to you with a date asa, most likely be a weekend. I would say bright colours or the Pudsey bandana would be a good idea.

5. A final note of: Jay and myself will be on S4C on the 26th of Novemember at 4:15pm (Argh!The same day as the lights parade!) It's the TV thing we did a few months ago and I look like an ass, woohoo!!

Park Life '09

I know Sunday was completely freezing and waterlogged but thank you SO so much to everyone that helped out. Chris, Yarrow and Jay...you are all God-sends, really. Thank you so much again. All in all, it went well considering, but hopefully we can have more fun on the next thing we do and not get rained on!!

Market Acrobatics!

Yup, it was a grand day...a grand Grand day...that is until...THE RAIN! Dum dum dummmmmmm!!!!

No, in all seriousness, it was great, and thanks to the two wonderful performers from No Fit State that did the acts. It was a lovely afternoon. If you want to see the pics I took from the day, they're here:

SATURDAY!

Hello hello! One and all!

A little birdy has told me that on Saturday, at midday, No Fit State will be performing on a trapeze in town for an hour, this trapeze will be in the market I believe. Fun huh? So what else I hear you ask??

WELL! If people are up for it, and the weather holds out, after said performance we could all have a few hours of juggly-spinny fun in the park or somewhere. I know i'll be doing it because I want to practice a bit, so anyone that wants to tag along and play, feel free! Bring stuff if you want to use, because I can't carry everything, or bring cameras or just yourself if you want to watch. (Makes sense huh?) OK! So, if anyone shows, I will see you Saturday.

Maindee!

Well, a big thank you to EVERYONE at Maindee Festival this year. Yarrow, Stephen, Jay and Chris...thank you so much for choosing to help, and thank you to everyone at the Maindee Festival group that made us taking part possible. I think it's safe to say we had a wonderful day!!

I want to appologise to everyone about not making it all the way through the festival (stupid feeling of heat and dizzy), I feel bad about it but enjoyed the half I managed. Hope all of you aren't feeling too worn out after it all!

Maindee Festival!

Woo! Yup, it's Maindee Festival this Saturday. For those of you who are helping, thank you, it should be a great Tree filled day! You can see pictures of the costume fitting here: TREES! Remember, wear black/green/brown, I'm bringing facepaint incase it's needed also.

If anyone wants to come along and see, feel free to, the parade goes down Corporation Road from about 12 till 1...ish.

Last thing I want to say in this post is thank you to everyone that came to the last session on Tuesday, and thank you for hanging around to help me pack up/take inventory/tidy up. It was very much appreciated.

The Open Day!

Thank you to everyone that came and helped on Saturday, I think it went really well and was good fun. Sadly, I don't have any pictures because I was a bit lazy, but I'm sure some will surface eventually!

For those of you that did help out, I have youre Comedy Shed voucher things here, so do not worry! You each get £20 worth (2 tickets).

Anyway, I am very warm so I shall say goodbye and see you tomorrow hopefully!

Riverfront Open Day

Yup, it's the Riverfront open weekend this Friday and Saturday, more information can be found here if you want it:

For those of you that are going to help do the walkaround entertainment...get there about 10:30am if possible, wear what you're comfortable in, or something bright. If it fits into both categories...all the better!

You'll earn 1 or 2 free cinema tickets again, or you can trade in the value and get a free circus session I think. Either way, you'll get something from it. See you there!
